A High Court of Justice sitting in Lokoja, Kogi state, Monday, sacked the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje from office.
The presiding judge of High Court 6, Lokoja, Hon. Justice Salisu Umar, in his ruling made an order directing the defender to stop parading himself as the paramount traditional ruler of Ebiraland.
Though the court is yet to make available details of the judgment, it was gathered that the case pertains to siut number HCO/05C/2024, filed by Dr. Barnabas Adeku Ojiah and two others against the governor of Kogi state.
The first class traditional ruler was presented a staff of office as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland on the 26th of January, 2024 by the former Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello.
The death of Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, the late Ohinoyi created the vacuum for the stool and 70 eminent personalities from Ebiraland contested for the exhalted position. Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje emerged victorious and was crowned as the King.
