Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been affirmed as the duly-elected candidate for Kogi-Central Senatorial zone at the election held in February, 2023.

Consequently, the Court, which gave the judgment Tuesday, dismissed the appeal filed by Alhaji Abubakar Ohere for lacking in merit.

The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lokoja had last month nullified the victory of Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Kogi-Central Senatorial zone.

The court further declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate as the actual winner of the senatorial poll.

Tribunal had declared that Senator Ohere’s results were inflated in nine polling units in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area, following which necessary corrections were made to give victory to Natasha.
