The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) on Friday received more Certified results in evidence as presented by the Labour Party (LP) and its Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi in what appeared as another outstanding run, for their legal team.
Delegated by Team leader, Dr Livy Uzoukwu SAN, Peter Afuba SAN, led the continued presentation of certified results evidence, consisting of Form EC8As.
Supplementary results for Six Local Governments in Rivers State and one Local Government of Niger State, omitted from yesterday’s session, were submitted, while fresh results from six other states, namely Adamawa (21 LGAs), Bayelsa (8), Oyo (31) Edo (18), Lagos (20) and Akwa Ibom (32) were presented.
Despite the opposition of the Counsels to Bola Tinubu, APC and INEC to the presentation of the results, the result sheets were admitted in evidence by the Petition Tribunal.

The high point of Friday’s sitting was the persistent attack by INEC’s lawyers on the credibility of INEC certified forms EC8A tendered by Mr. Peter Obi and Labour Party.
At the end of the presentation, Dr Livy Uzoukwu told the court that his team was ready to continue evidence presentation on Saturday, but Yusuf Alli SAN for Tinubu/APC, pleaded fervently for an adjournment till Monday, which was the same position held by the INEC Counsel.
Presiding Justice Simon Tsammani, brokered a compromise, and an adjournment to 2pm on Monday was agreed.
