A teenager, who identified himself as Yusuf Alabi, has explained why he stood with both arms stretched, in front of the convoy of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, during the party’s campaign rally in Lagos State on Saturday.

The teenager, in a picture and video that has gone viral on social media, is seen with his arms stretched out wide in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, with Obi standing through the open roof of the car, welcoming the gesture of the teenager with his characteristic smiles.

When the teenager was interviewed, Alabi disclosed that he stood in front of the convoy as a gesture of his love for Obi.

The boy said he is from Ibadan, Oyo State, but based in Lagos, stated that Obi is a good man who always helps people and that he, Yusuf, likes him (Obi) a lot.

He added that if Obi won the elections, he, Yusuf, would pray for the presidential candidate to do well.

Some Nigerians started to search for Yusuf to reward him over his display of love and he was eventually located.

The youngster spoke on video and revealed that he loves Peter Obi and will want him to be Nigeria’s next president.

The photo of Yusuf at the rally was considered impressive by a number of people as search for him began from well-meaning Nigerians, including Cubana Chiefpriest, celebrities, musicians, footballers, journalists, and plotter professionals, to locate and reward him with financial and other gifts.

Obi rounded off his presidential campaign in Lagos, with a rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, after campaigning across the 36 states of the federation.

Obi’s running mate, Sen. Yusuf Datti Baba-Amed was also present at the grand finale, as well as the leader of the pan Yoruba socio-political organisation Afenifere, Pa. Ayo Adebanjo, among others.
