Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, Thursday visited the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in Port Harcourt.

Obasanjo’s visit is the latest in a series of visits to the country home of Wike by politicians across party lines.

Wike, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been at loggerheads with the main opposition party leadership after the presidential primary that produced Atiku Abubakar as the PDP presidential candidate and the non-stepping down of Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s National Chairman, in line with the party’s convention.

Wike and other aggrieved PDP governors tagged “the G5 Governors” have been calling for the resignation of PDP National Chairman, Ayu.
