Osuntokun replaces Okupe as DG-LPPCC

The Labour Party’sObi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organization has announced the appointment of Balogun Akin Osuntokun, as the new Director-General of the organisation.  

He succeeds Dr Doyin Okupe, who resigned after the court found him guilty of receiving cash o perform official duties above the legal threshold from a former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.  

Until recently, Osuntokun  was the Zonal Coordinator (South) of the LPPCC.

Statement by Diran Onifade, Head of Media, LPPCC, “Osuntokun is a political scientist, strategist, researcher, administrator, journalist and writer, with experience in media advocacy, policy research and implementation and political analysis. 

“A former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria,  Osuntokun served as Political Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and as Director of the Presidential campaign of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2011. 

“He brings to his new pisition,  vast potical and media expreince,” Onifade stated.
