The U.S. Department of State announced a $10 million reward for information on Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and several high-ranking officials linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The officials, including Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib, are accused of commanding units of the IRGC involved in planning and carrying out terrorist activities globally.

The announcement added these figures to the Rewards for Justice program, which offers financial incentives and, in some cases, relocation assistance to individuals who provide credible information that aids authorities in locating or prosecuting suspects connected to terrorism.

The U.S. State Department encouraged anyone with relevant intelligence to submit tips through secure channels, such as Tor or the messaging app Signal.

Mojtaba Khamenei became Iran’s top leader following the death of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in a bombing on February 28.

Reports indicated he was injured during the attack and has not appeared publicly since assuming office.

The Rewards for Justice program has been used for years to help U.S. authorities track and prosecute individuals accused of terrorism and related offenses. (Turkiye Today)
