President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured media executives that concerns over tariffs affecting the industry will be reviewed and addressed.
Speaking during an interfaith iftar with media executives at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu emphasised that he had carefully considered the discussions raised by industry stakeholders.
“I’ve listened carefully to you. It’s as if you’ve worked with me today.
“The question of tariffs was discussed this afternoon. What I cannot report back here is whether I have taken action in the area that affected you or not, but if I have overlooked it, I will go back to rectify it,” he said.
The president also commended the media for its vital role in national development, highlighting the industry’s contributions to job creation and public enlightenment.
“The joy is that many of you have employed people and provided information that educates, informs, and strengthens minds,” Tinubu added.
