Fire has razed part of the old terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in the Ikeja Area of Lagos State.

The fire outbreak reportedly caused panic among airport workers and passengers on Monday, February 23, 2026.

It affected a section of the terminal currently undergoing a multi-billion-naira renovation.

Thick smoke was seen rising from the building, while emergency responders moved quickly to contain the situation.

As of the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the fire remained unclear.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the level of damage or whether any casualties were recorded.
