The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended 20 suspects involved in various crimes, including kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, vandalism, and obtaining by false pretence, across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, and Ondo States.

This was contained in a press statement from CSC Babawale Afolabi, PRO NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja over the week.

The suspects were arrested between October and November 2025, following a directive from NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to clamp down on criminal activities and conduct thorough investigations into high-profile syndicate operations.

The arrested suspects include two confirmed terrorist/militia suspects linked to recent communal attacks, five major buyers of stolen accessories, and two suspected vandals of essential public infrastructure.

Recovered items include two AK-47 rifles, two G3 rifles, 65 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, one Toyota Corolla, four motorcycles, various mobile phones, electronics, charms, and cash.

The NSCDC assures the public that all suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations and urges Nigerians to provide actionable intelligence to help combat criminal activities.
