Former Governor of Jigawa State and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Sule Lamido, said no right-thinking person in the North would vote for Tinubu in the coming 2027 presidential election.

Lamido stated this while speaking at a meeting of the PDP expanded caucus held in Dutse, Jigawa State.

He said for years the North and Nigerians have been suffering from the bad APC leadership, including poverty, insecurity, and hardship.

Lamido accused APC administrations of inflicting “hardship, deceit, and betrayal” on Nigerians.

According to him, “We have been telling people Tinubu does not like the North, he doesn’t like anything that will help in developing the North. During his tenure as Governor of Lagos, Northerners were maltreated, attacked, and killed.”

“In 2023, both the ACF, Ohanaeze, Afenifere, and other meaningful associations didn’t support Tinubu. He used money to influence his support and win the election.

“We warned people not to entrust him. They refused to listen and are now paying the consequences of their actions.

“It’s quite unfortunate for any Northerner to support Tinubu’s reelection bid despite the position he is holding, minister, governor, House of Representatives, among others.

“I don’t think a right-thinking person from the North will support Tinubu’s reelection bid again in the coming 2027 election,” he said.

He said Nigeria will be rescued from his hands only if all citizens agree to unite themselves irrespective of political, religious, and regional differences.

Lamido noted that with the current developments going on in the PDP, there is a possibility it will return to normal and will do anything possible to save the country.
