The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, has signed a pact with an International property investor to develop an expansive urban hub known as City Walk Abuja.

The project, modelled after the iconic Dubai City Walk, is expected to transform the aesthetic landscape of the Federal Capital city with eye-catching architectural structures and massive infrastructure.

At the signing ceremony in Abuja, Wike stated that the project would be executed in phases and have its first phase ready for commissioning during President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary.

City Walk Abuja will occupy over 200 hectares in the Abuja Technology Village corridor, replicating the mixed-use urban vibrancy of Dubai’s City Walk, Wike said.

The minister added that it would blend residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, medical, and institutional facilities.

“We have seen what you’ve done in Dubai. We’ve been to the site. We’ve reviewed the designs, approved the drawings, and signed the Certificates of Occupancy. Now we want to see bulldozers and concrete, not excuses,” Wike said.

“We are not giving out land for people to hold and speculate,” the minister added.
