The Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has emphasized the late President’s embodiment of strict discipline, and adherence to rule of law was a defining hallmark of his leadership in both military and democratic governance.

“ President Buhari’s zero tolerance for indiscipline remains worthy of emulation,” General Musa added.

General Musa said this condolence message on behalf of himself, Service Chiefs and the entire men and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) to join millions of sympathisers across the globe to mourn the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari.

General Musa extended heartfelt condolences to the President Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former President Muhammadu Buhari family, and the nation at large over the loss of a revered elder statesman, a patriot and a gallant senior officer.

He described the late President Buhari as an exemplary leader whose life was defined by discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria.

He noted that President Buhari’s contributions to national development, both in the military and democratic leadership, have left an enduring legacy in Nigeria’s history.

Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen Tukur Gusau said in a statement that the CDS also noted that the late President has written his name in gold as an incorruptible leader and vanguard of prudence.
