Details of how Israeli Defense Force (IDF) tricked over 30 top Iranian Air Force commanders to gather in one place before eliminating them on Friday, have emerged.

Moreover, as Israel draws its long-running shadow war into open conflict with the Islamic Republic, one of its security officials said that the Jewish nation successfully tricked top commanders of Iran’s Air Force into gathering for a meeting.

“We carried out specific activities to help us learn more about them, and then used that information to influence their behaviour,” the official told Fox News.

“We knew this would lead them to meet — but more importantly, we knew how to keep them there,” the official added.

“Iran seriously miscalculated in the lead-up to Israel’s strikes on Friday, believing that it would never have attacked before a round of nuclear talks with the United States scheduled for Sunday”, another official close to Iran’s leadership told The New York Times.

Due to this miscalculation, Iran’s top military commanders did not seek shelter and ignored recommendations not to congregate in a single area, the officials said.

Israel reportedly eliminated most of Iran’s top military brass at the emergency meeting in the opening strikes early Friday morning.

According to private texts messages. shared with The Times of Israel, Iranian officials angrily asked: “Where is our air defense?” and “How can Israel come and attack anything it wants, kill our top commanders, and we are incapable of stopping it?”

Israeli intel now believes 30 IRGC Air Force Commanders and other “terrorists” were killed in the strike.
