This showed that the three states recorded the highest rise in core inflation rate in the period under review.

On the flip side, Ondo State, with 13.42 percent; Cross River, with 17.11 percent; and Kwara, with 17.28 percent, recorded the lowest rise in headline inflation on a year-on-year basis.

“In April 2025, the aII Items inflation rate on a year-on-year basis was highest in Enugu (35.98 percent), Kebbi (35.13 percent), and Niger (34.85 percent), while Ondo (13.42 percent), Cross River (17.11 percent), and Kwara (17.28 percent) recorded the lowest rise in headline inflation on a year-on-year basis,” NBS stated.
