The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has discllosed that the installation of an optical ground wire (OPGW) cable on the Ikeja-West/Akangba 330kV Transmission Line 2 is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 9 am to 6 pm.

This installation is part of efforts to rehabilitate the nation’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, according to a Statement by Ndidi Mbah, General-Manager, Public Affairs, TCN.

According to the Statement, “during this period, bulk power transmission to Ikeja, Eko, and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Companies will be temporarily affected, resulting in a nine-hour electricity disruption for their customers in Agbara, Otta, and Abeokuta.

“TCN regrets any inconvenience caused and appreciates the understanding of affected electricity customers”.
