The Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Soludo has celebrated one year anniversary of his administration.

A town hall meeting was organized to present the governor’s score card at the Anambra International Conference Centre (ICC), Awka.

Gov Soludo recalled that he and his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim took oath of office and swearing in ceremony on March 17, 2022.

He also presented an abridged version of an annual report on what has occurred over the past 365 days during the Town Hall meeting.

The governor noted that the state can barely generate 20 billion naira per year, but added that there will be no excuses for non performance.

“The first year was spent addressing foundational issues. Our second year will be a journey to build a smart mega city and consolidation process.” Gov Soludo explained.

The former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in his speech at the occasion paid glowing tribute to the administrative capability of the governor noting that he has always known that he is destined for greatness.

He said as a matter of fact that he really never supported Gov Soludo’s ambition of becoming a governor because of the fact that the Anambra State number one man is prepared for bigger responsibility.

Chief Obasanjo congratulated the governor for his modest achievements in just one year in office even as he urged him not to look back until he takes the state to the next level.

The occasion was attended by eminent personalities from all walks of life.

The one year anniversary got to a climax on Sunday with a Thanksgiving service which held at Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
