The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday in Abuja, presented Certificate of Return to Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election and his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima.

The certificates were presented to the duo by the Returning Officer of the election Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, who is also INEC Chairman.

Tinubu and Shetima received their Certificate of Return with their wives standing by their sides.

The former Governor of Lagos was the first to receive the framed certificate while Shetima took his turn last.

In his acceptance speech, Tinubu repeated most of what he said in the morning of Wednesday after he was declared the winner of the February 25 Presidential Election, saying that he will be President for Nigerians and not for a group or tribe.
