*Insists on a New Nigeria even as thugs attack Obidient Movement members

The Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has kicked off his his political rally in Lagos State with visits to major markets.

Mr. Obi took his message of a New Nigeria to the traders and businessmen, reminding them that if they cast their ballot for him and his running mate, he shall guarantee better business environment across Nigeria.

Obi also reminded them that it was unacceptable that children could be allowed by government to stay at home for eight months or more on a matter that can easily be permanently resolved, adding that it is worse where children of school age are denied education due to no fault of theirs.

Obi promised that I voted into office, he would ensure that Lagos remains the nation’s economic hub with a tangential development across the vast coast line in the state and beyond.

He also promised to deal with the chocking traffic problems in Lagos by ensuring that mass transit rail services are put in place, which will reduce the problems of committing and doing business in Lagos.

Obi was speaking just as the Chief Spokesperson of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Yunusa Tanko, raised the alarm that members of the Obidient Movement and other supporters en route to the Tafawa Balewa Square campaign ground, are under attack by political thugs and hoodlums.

According to him: “The Obidient Movement is under Attack in Lagos. They are  stopping our people from coming to the TBS Rally.”

Tanko however added that “nothing can stop a movement whose time has come. Security Operatives take note. We keep moving Obidently & Yusfully.”

Another alert said that “thugs just attacked one of the cars conveying OBIdients from Jakande Ajah, Eti-Osa LGA, to TBS.”

Obi, who started the day with campaign stops at major markets, first visited the Ojo International Market where he got what he termed an “awesome reception”

According to the LP presidential candidate, “today, the LP and Obidient Family will conclude the State rallies in Lagos. It’s been a whirlwind and a very value-added experience across the 36 States.

“Thank you Nigerians for engaging constructively. The Mission to take back Nigeria is real and the core objective is in sight.

“Let’s make it happen. Saving Nigeria is Now or Never.”

Obi stated that, “my team and I are in Ojo area of Lagos on a market storm ahead of the Lagos Rally. Thank you Lagos. Eko oni baje!

“We have just arrived at the Alaba international market. Awesome reception. Pondering what the rally will be like. LP is finishing strong. Salute to Obidients and Nigerian Youths.”
