*She’s hard-headed recruit of evil politicians in Enugu State, he says

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has again dissociated itself from an alleged female executioner paraded recently by security forces in Enugu as an IPON/ESN member, saying the said executioner is neither a member of IPOB nor an operative of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) but a ‘hard-headed recruit of evil politicians’ in Enugu State.

In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB said the “so-called female executioner in Enugu State arrested in Igbo-Eze North/Igbo-Eze South LGAs and paraded as an IPOB member was recruited by Enugu State politicians as a member of their group of thugs [routinely deployed] against their political opponents.”

“They used the thugs to terrorize their opponents, especially during the PDP primaries. At a point when they could no longer manage them after arming them and paying them salaries, they caused division among them,” IPOB further alleged, adding: “They selected the ones loyal to [the politicians in power] and sent them on a three-month training where they were also fortified by herbalists with anti-bullet charms.

“Since they returned, those loyal to [the politicians in power] have branded those they had been working with as IPOB/ ESN and have been eliminating them. They once lured some of them into a peace meeting where they killed several leaders of the rival gang members.”

According to IPOB, the purported woman executioner they paraded as IPOB’s female member is, in reality, a member of a rival gang whom they had been working with before they fell apart, following the failure or refusal of [the politicians in power] to meet their contractual obligation to the thugs, on the grounds that the violence they were supposed to ignite if the primaries did not go the politicians’ way did not happen again because the PDP primaries turned out very orderly and peaceful.

“She is NOT a member of IPOB or ESN,” IPOB emphasized. “Let security agencies open their eyes because a lot of our youths have been killed just because the politicians want to stay in power.

“Again, IPOB and ESN operatives won’t allow these criminal politicians in Enugu State to continue blackmailing IPOB and ESN members. That plan will never go well for them, and we must expose their evil deeds to the public.

“IPOB and ESN will not spare them unless they come out in public and explain their evil dealings with these criminals that they recruited. The Governor of Enugu State, Chief (Dr.) Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is advised to investigate this matter or we come for these evil politicians in [their] Council Areas.”
