The Interim Management Committee (IMC) has declared that the winner of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League season will be rewarded with N100 million, reports Prompt News.

It will be an increase from the N50m promised last season’s winner, Rivers United.

“They promised to give last season’s winner ( Rivers United) N50 million which they are yet to pay till now,” IMC chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye told KENNIS Radio on Monday during a live interview session.

“We don’t want to promise what we cannot do, the winner of the 2022/2023 season will get N100 million as a cash prize.”

Meanwhile, the draw for the upcoming season will hold on Wednesday, December 28.

The ceremony is billed for the Sandralia Hotel, Abuja by 2pm.

The 2022/23 league season will kick-off on January 8, 2023.
