The State Commander of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB/ESN), Sunday Ubah a.k.a. Bongo, has been taken into custody by the Ebonyi State Police Command.

SP Chris Anyanwu, the police public relations officer, revealed this in a statement made accessible to reporters in Abakaliki. Anyanwu claims that on December 14, 2022, the thugs were located and pursued along Agba-Isu route. He further said that two of the criminals were neutralized while the other four fled with varying degrees of bullet wounds, while a few police officers received minor injuries.

Parts of the statement stated, “Ebonyi State Police Command has once more raided one of the largest and most renowned IPOB/ESN camps located at Obegu, a border area between Onicha-Isu and Ishielu LGAs of Ebonyi State.
