*Join me in pulling it back from the brink, he urges voters

For the umpteenth time, Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has reminded Nigerians of the consequences of voting the wrong person as president in next years election.

He appealed to the electorates that they should avoid a candidate who would or is capable of sustaining the current situation in the country, adding that the country is on the brink of collapsing.

He explained thay with the worsening statistics of people living in poverty, the doomsday was approaching, adding that the only way to pull it back from the edge of the precipice was for Nigerians to decide to take back their country, by sacking the current ruling class, who have continued to ensure that despite the huge potentials of the country, poverty had continued to ravage the nation.

Obi spoke Wednesday at the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, Taraba State during his presidential campaigns, stressing: “Nigeria is collapsing and it is doing so very fast. We have 133 million people in poverty and Taraba is no exception.

“It is happening here where we have millions of people who don’t know where the next meal will come from. That is what I and Baba-Ahmed wants to reverse.”

Emphasising their resolve to reverse the rot, Datti Baba-Ahmed, Obi’s running mate warned the people of the consequences of remaining in the cocoon of primordial sentiments of ethnicity and religion at such a dangerous time Nigeria had found itself, adding that the war in the land at the moment, was too severe to engage in such luxury.

His said: “Nigeria is waging a war. That war is not between tribes, it is not between faiths – it is between the good people of Nigeria and bad governance and that war we must win.

“We promise you that if you vote us into into power, we will not govern the country from Abuja but rather from the states where the potentials, both human and capital of the country are located.”
