PDP releases list of Presidential Campaign Council, names Tambuwal as DG

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party Party (PDP) has released the list of its presidential campaign council that will take charge of Atiku Abubakar’s campaign in the 2023 general election.

In the 326-man list released by the party on Thursday night, The Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel was named as the Chairman of the Council while his Sokoto State counterpart, Aminu Tambuwal will serve as the Director General of the campaign.

“The leadership of our party, the PDP, has released the 2023 Presidential Election Campaign Council with H.E. Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State as Chairman of the campaign. The Governor of Sokoto State, H.E. Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal is the Director General (DG), while Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state is Vice Chairman, North and H.E. Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is Vice Chairman South.

“The Governor of Rivers State, H. E. Chief Nyesom Wike, other PDP Governors and critical stakeholders are all members of the Campaign Council,” the statement released on the verified social media handle of the PDP stated.
