As part of the political mobilization and socialization in preparation for the 2023 polls, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has  met with the Governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike and other serving and former governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) extraction in Rivers State.

The meeting is the second time the former Governor of Anambra State would be meeting with Wike after dumping the PDP and declaring his presidential ambition.

Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko in a post on his Twitter account disclosed that they had a meeting yesterday night.

Mimiko revealed that the meeting was attended by former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke; former Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwanbo; Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom; Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu; Mohammed Adoke and several others.

At the time of filing this reports the rationale behind the meeting between the PDP Governors and the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party is not clear.

The meeting is coming days after Mimiko and Obi met ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Mimiko shared pictures from his meeting with the former Governor of Anambra State but did not also reveal the details of the meeting.
