Barcelona interested in Chukwuemeka

Barcelona have jumped into the battle for Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka is inside the final year of his Villa contract and up for sale at £20m.

Mundo Deportivo says Barcelona have expressed interest in signing the young midfielder, although he is ‘not a priority’ yet as the Catalan giants still hope to bring in Robert Lewandowski.

Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal have also enquired about Chukwuemeka.

The youngster is in England, after being left out of Villa’s tour squad, currently in Australia.
