Former Enugu Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governoship aspirant Hon Chijioke Edeoga has reportedly picked the Enugu Labour Party Governoship ticket.

An impeccable source and a local government Chairman of the party in Enugu State confirmed this to EverydayNews.

Edeoga, a former Commissioner in the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi administration resigned his position to contest the Governoship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Efforts to confirm the development from Edeoga himself failed as his mobile phones were switched off.

However, our source disclosed that Senator Ike Ekweremadu was ahead of others in the quest for the party guber ticket until his recent travails.

At the last minute it was reported to be between the former Minister of Power Prof. Barth Nnaji and Edeoga.

At last Nnaji was said to have stepped down for Edeoga to emerge as the LP guber candidate in Enugu.
