President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with All Progressive Congress (APC) Governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting came ahead of the party’s presidential primary election scheduled for next week (June 6 and 7, 2022).

All the APC Governors are in attendance with exception of Nadir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, who was represented by his deputy, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.

At the meeting were also the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; and Chief of Staff of the President, Ibrahim Gambari.

The APC had postponed its presidential primary election earlier scheduled for May 29-30 following the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decision to shift the date for submission of list of candidates by political parties, from 4th to 9th of June 2022.
