U20 AFCON Qualifier: Flying Eagles face Ghana in opening game

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will open their campaign at the WAFU Zone B tournament in Niamey, Niger Republic against the Black Satellite of Ghana, reports Pnosports.com.

The full fixtures for the competition was released by the West African Football Union on Friday.

The encounter will hold at the Stade Seyni Kountché on  Sunday, May 8.

The Flying Eagles second group game against  the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso will take place at the same venue three days later.

The top two teams in the group will proceed to the semi-final.

The competition will serve as the qualifiers for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations billed for 2023 in Egypt.

The two finalists will be among the competitors at the 2023  AFCON.

Ladan Bosso’s side opened camp in Abuja for the competition on Monday.
