Chief Onyeneke commends Uzodinmma over Avu-Obosima-Egbeme Road

Media Relations Consultant, Chief Dr Fidel Onyeneke, has extolled the Imo State Government for the high quality standard of the ongoing reconstruction of the Avu-Obosima-Egbema road.
Chief Onyeneke made the commendation at Avu on Friday, while addressing the major stakeholders of the community. 
He said that Governor Uzodinma had brought succor to the Communities on that road by alleviating the problems they faced due to the collapse of the road in the past few years.
“Economic activities will now be more viable as a result of the good road. Residents will also engage in their business ventures with ease.” he observed.
 Chief Onyeneke who heads the Road Rehabilitation Advisory Committee set up by Avu Town Union, expressed happiness that the reconstruction of the road would further enhance the evacuation of food and agricultural products from the Ohaji and Egbema Communities, where food is produced in abundance.
According to Onyeneke,the road when completed will also boost the socio-economic base of the benefiting towns.
“The reconstruction of this road is a huge blessing to all. It will greatly reduce the pains and agony of the road users” Onyeneke stated.
The former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), urged the indigenes and residents of the various communities through which the road transversed, to cooperate with the Contractor as they work on the road. 
Chief Onyeneke appealed to the Youths of the area to guard the work jealously, and ensure steady smooth work on the project as a deliberate effort to accelerate its early completion.
He solicited for the protection of the lives of the workers, as well as the machines and equipment of the Construction Company to enable them execute the work according to specifications. 
Similarly, he urged the Construction Company to apply principles of Community and Public Relations in order to enjoy a robust cordial relationship with the host communities.
“Carry the indigenes along and give them a sense of responsibility” he charged the contractor.
The Media Relations Consultant appealed to the people to give more support to the Governor Uzodinma administration, as it provides the neccesary dividends of democracy to  Imo masses.
He advised the people of Avu, Ohaji and Egbema to form a synergy aimed at encouraging and boosting the morale of  the road workers as they carry out their duties.
Chief Onyeneke stressed the need for the Youths of the area to acquire more skills in other to be self reliant and meaningfully engaged. 
He however appealed to the government to provide soft loans and grants to the Youths for them to run various small scale businesses of their own.
